Proverbs1:3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity

I think this proverb indicates that we are never past the age of learning. Its when we think that we know all there is to know that we run into difficulty. These are such important areas of our lives. We have already discussed wisdom, but give some thought to justice and equity. It is believed that King Solomon himself wrote these proverbs. So you can imagine the significance of these words coming from a king.

Now it would make sense that a King would find instruction to be important when his whole responsibilities centered around this. At this time the country was at peace. It was a time for people to prepare themselves with wisdom so it would sustain them when the bad times came once again. Solomon was known for his wisdom as the King of Israel and his love for God, All of these attributes that are mentioned are really the foundation which life is built upon. The wisdom to make the right decisions. To be just in our judgement of others and to cherish others as an equity.

By learning and applying wisdom we are able to be able to discern what is truth and what is deceit. So this is really the beginning of what life should evolve around and we truly are blessed that God saw fit to preserve the wisdom that Solomon displayed so that we can benefit from it and apply it to our lives in the here and now.

It is amazing that words that were written so many centuries ago still can have the same astounding affect and application to day as they did then, if we only will allow them to.

Proverbs Are Words Of Wisdom.

The King James Version of the Bible has a chapter within it called Proverbs.

Proverbs are words of wisdom that were given to the author of this chapter of the Bible, so we would have a guideline with which to live life by. It has all the answers to walk us through life in peace and happiness. It has all the answers to every single daily problem we could possibly have. Most importantly it has the instructions that provide the stairway to heaven. The problem however, is that we have lost our ability to read, understand and apply these to life. The good news is, its not too late. Make it a point to read one of these proverbs daily, and let it be your beacon of light to guide you through the day, and warm you through the night.

Proverbs1:2
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
What does wisdom mean to us? It is supposed to mean to have the ability to judge what is right, what is true, what is lasting or has meaning, and to have insight.
What is instruction? It means to have knowledge of the information it is giving.
What  perceive means is to know what the words or information you are being given mean.
Words of understanding; means to have the ability to learn, judge, make decisions or make sense of the words being imparted to us.
Can you imagine to be able to live through a day and apply wisdom to everything you say and do? What an impact that would have on you and all those who you come in contact with during the day.
It means you would think about every word that came out of your mouth and every action that you performed. It means you would decide first whether it was the right thing to say or do. You would decide if what you were going to say was true and had a purpose. Was the words spoken going to have some value to you or the person you were speaking to ?
If you were to speak this way, would you be talking different than what you talk now? How often do we say useless things to people, and hurt them without realizing it?
To have the wisdom to be able to talk to someone like we really care about what we are saying to them, and that we understand what we need to say to that person to make them feel like we care is truly wisdom.
Today's treasure:
Take the opportunity today when you are talking to someone to look into their eyes and smile as you speak. Listen to every word they say as if it’s the most important thing you will ever hear. When you answer think about the kindest words that you can use, and give them the most important information in those words that they can use.
Care and think about every word you utter today.
